Welcome to Aden Forrow, who joins the group from MIT on an 1851 Royal Commission Fellowship! Aden’s project will focus on developing new modelling and inference tools for single-cell RNA sequencing. Also, a (very!) belated welcome to both Thomas Pak and Tom Prescott. Thomas joins the group as part of the BBSRC-funded Biosciences DTP. Thomas will develop cell-based models to explore the chemo-mechanical mechanisms underlying cell competition. Tom is a BBSRC-funded PDRA who will develop new approaches for likelihood-free inference in the context of individual-based models.
